Wall Street closes positively after a day of ups and downs.

The US stock markets ended the session up, on a day marked by high volatility, with the main indexes alternating between gains and losses. The Fed meeting that takes place on Wednesday dominates the attention of investors.

Wall Street‘s main indexes closed higher on Monday after swinging between gains and losses during trading. Investors’ attentions are focused on the Fed‘s meeting, which on Wednesday will announce another interest rate hike, with the doubt being whether the increase will be 75 or 100 basis points.

The Dow Jones advanced 0.64% to 31,019.68 points, with American Express leading the gains, up 1.49%. The broad S&P 500 index gained 0.69%, closing at 3,899.89 points, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.76%, ending the day at 11,535.02 points.

Among the “Big Tech,” Apple advanced 2.51%, Amazon gained 0.91%, Alphabet appreciated 0.26%, Meta rose 1.18%, and Microsoft slid 0.09%.
