US debt yields touch Highe11-year highs
Yields on 10-year US debt touched their highest level since April 2011 on Monday as investors prepare for another interest rate hike by the Fed.
This Monday, 10-year Treasuries touched an 11-year high of 3.518% before easing to around 3.48%.
The yield on two-year debt reached 3.961%, a level not seen since November 2007.
By now, the inversion of the yield curve, which compares two- and 10-year yields, has reached a 48 basis point difference, pointing to a recession in the next year or two.
