  Zelensky expresses condolences for the “irreparable loss.”

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, today expressed the most “sincere condolences” on behalf of the Ukrainian people for the “irreparable loss” represented by the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

In a publication on the social network Twitter, the Ukrainian president said that “it was with deep sadness” that he learned of the death of the British monarch.

On behalf of the Ukrainian people, Volodymyr Zelensky expresses sincere condolences to the royal family, the entire United Kingdom, and Commonwealth countries for this “irreparable loss”.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you,” he said.

Queen Elizabeth II died today at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, it was announced today by the royal family.

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. “Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that the King and Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow [Friday],” in a reference to Charles and Camilla.

The news was made known after close members of the royal family suddenly travelled to Balmoral today to be with the Queen following a statement reporting doctors’ concerns about the 96-year-old monarch’s state of health.
