The Huawei Mate 50 will have a camera with variable aperture.

Huawei, on September 6, will introduce a new smartphone series, under the name Huawei P50, with four models. The success of this series in China is being such, even before the launch, that the company has already registered more than one million reservations.

Not unprecedented in the smartphone universe, some of the upcoming Mate 50 will have a camera with variable aperture.

Huawei has officially confirmed one of the most interesting rumours about the upcoming Mate 50 series ahead of the September 6 announcement: the smartphones will have a variable aperture, possibly on the main camera.

Users will thus have greater control of the depth field, something that in most cases is only achieved via software and not always with quality results.

According to Digital Chat Station, this new smartphone, specifically the Pro version, will have a quadruple camera, with the main sensor having 50 MP, the ultra wide-angle with 13 MP, the 40 MP telephoto, and the 64 MP periscope, with optical zoom up to 3.5x.

Huawei is among the best in photography.
Despite its failure in the Western market, the truth is that Huawei continues to make its way in China, with smartphones that are real hits and with cameras that stand out across the segment.

The Mate line remains prominent in the camera review rankings, with the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+, the latter of which, in DxOMark, is ranked fourth, with only the Honor Magic4 Ultimate, Huawei P50 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra ahead.
