Tesla Autopilot system began to be investigated in the US after crashes
Tesla Autopilot system began to be investigated by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), an investigation that was initiated based on the 11 accidents reported since 2018 in the USA.
“The involved subject vehicles were all confirmed to have been engaged in either Autopilot or Traffic Aware Cruise Control during the approach to the crashes.”, notes the statement on the investigation shared by Engadget.
The investigation will seek to investigate Autopilot in virtually all of Tesla’s models, including Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Model Y.
Remember that Tesla has already been released from responsibility in accidents involving its vehicles, in which the Autopilot mode was initially blamed, which, in the end, was not activated at the time of the accident.
