Research: Bitcoin is in the investments of 46 million people in the United States
According to a survey conducted by the Digital New York (NYDIG) group, about 46 million Americans invest in Bitcoin. This figure represents 17% of the country’s adult population.
Disclosed on Wednesday (12) by Newsweek, the survey also reveals that 75% of respondents would like to have more information about annuities and life insurance with Bitcoin.
The survey counted with the participation of 1,050 consumers with an annual income of at least $50 thousand. The data was compiled by age, ethnicity, sex, education and geolocation.
Although the statistic points to 46 million Americans with Bitcoin, about 53% of respondents reported not having digital assets. However, about 55% consider investing in cryptocurrencies.
The researchers took the opportunity to ask how respondents would feel if insurers invested less than 2% of their capital in Bitcoin.
Responses tended towards digital currencies. About 43% said they accepted the proposal, while 42% “would consider it”. Only 15% did not approve the suggestion.
In addition, the survey revealed that about half of respondents wish to receive some or all of the benefits of BTC insurance.
A survey made by MagnifyMoney this year found out that 62% of cryptocurrency investors believe they will get rich.
Although it has not been highlighted, recent adherence by major investors to cryptocurrencies may have sparked this optimism.
