Tesla model 3 sales in Europe skyrocket 55% in March
Car sales in Europe have grown again! If there was a segment that had huge breaks in this pandemic, it was the automobile segment. The breaks were huge and the expectation is a lot from month to month. February’s data was bad, but March already showed growth.
Growth was 63%, a very positive percentage considering the last few months.
According to a study mae by Jato, the best-selling car was the Volkswagen Golf, with 26,265 units sold. In second position appears the Peugeot 208 with 25,420 units sold. Tesla Model 3 is also on the list, in fourth position, with 23,755, that represents a 55% growth comparing to March 2020.
Regarding PHEV (plug-in hybrids), the best seller in March was the Volvo XC40, with 5364 units being sold. In second position is the Peugeot 3008 with 4673 units sold. In third place is the Renault Captur with 4355 units. Closing the TOP 10 is the VW Passat with 3273 units sold.
Regarding the BEV (all electric vehicles), the ranking is led by the Tesla Model 3 with 23,616 units. In second position is the Hundai Kona with 5650 units and in third position is the Renault Zoe with 5373 units sold. In the last position of the BEV is the Fiat 500, with 3415 units sold.
