Teenager who hacked Apple, Bill Gates and Joe Biden accounts is sentenced to prison
The teenager responsible for hacking the Twitter accounts of Apple, Bill Gates and (now) US President Joe Biden was sentenced to three years in prison. Clark accepted the sentence in exchange for pleading guilty, says the Tampa Bay Times.
It was at the age of 17 that Clark hacked Twitter accounts to publish a scheme to obtain Bitcoin cryptocurrency, through which he managed to generate the equivalent of $100,000. Given that the case was considered financial fraud, Clark was tried as an adult.
To have access to these accounts, Clark pretended to be a Twitter worker, convincing a company worker to give him access to the customer service portal.
