NCSC Director report says that China stole personal data of 80% of American adults
William R. Evanina, an American national security official serving as Director of the United States National Counterintelligence and Security Center appeared on the CBS show 60 minutes and claimed that China stole personal data of 80% of American adults, according to their research, they did that by hacking health care companies and technologies such as smart homes, 5G networks, sensors.
He also warned that China is trying to collect and exploit American’s personal and health care informations including the DNA. He even stated that the likelihood that him and the interviewer (Jon Wertheim) have been hacked is 110% :
Bill Evanina: You have probably five or six health care companies the last five years who have been, I would say, penetrated, exfiltrated, hacked by China.
Jon Wertheim: What’s the likelihood you and I have been hacked by China?
Bill Evanina: 110%.
Jon Wertheim: Personal data?
Bill Evanina: Personal data. Current estimates are that 80% of American adults have had all of their personally identifiable information stolen by the Communist Party of China.
This is a new chapter on the new ”cold war” novel that is starting between China and U.S as the chinese president Xi Jinping said at the Davos Agenda event.
