Tesla shuts down factory in Shanghai after Covid-19 outbreak
Tesla’s electric car factory in Shanghai has been temporarily suspended due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the city.
As reported by Reuters, the factory was closed this Monday, the 28th, and will remain closed for another three days. The city will then undergo a series of health checks to control the outbreak, with mass testing already underway.
Tesla’s factory in Shanghai accounted for half of all cars produced last year and is reportedly capable of making 2,000 cars a day.
