Elon Musk pressured to shut down Tesla cars in Russia
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has sought to address Ukraine’s needs during the current conflict (resulting from the invasion of Russia) by providing more means of Starlink high-speed internet access.
But Musk’s Twitter followers have one more idea for the entrepreneur.
As reported by Business Insider, a group of Twitter users is advocating that Tesla “deactivate all Tesla cars in Russia” as a way to pressure Putin to abandon the conflict. The aim is to create a “technology embargo” that will make Russia reconsider its actions.
Elon Musk has not yet responded to these requests, but he has already made a point of stating that he will not block Russian media since he is an “absolutist of freedom of expression”.
@elonmusk could you turn off every single tesla in Russia?
