Tesla postponed the launch of the Semi electric truck
Tesla announced during the most recent financial results presentation that it has decided to postpone the launch of the Semi electric truck until 2022.
As TechCrunch says, Tesla justified the decision with restrictions regarding the supply of batteries.
It should be recalled that in January 2021, Musk warned that although the Semi’s engineering works had been completed, the availability of batteries could affect plans to launch the electric truck.

Tesla presented a prototype of the Semi in November 2017 and since then we’ve been waiting for it to hit the market.
Besides the Semi, it is also likely that the Cybertruck van will be postponed to next year. Elon Musk did not comment on the matter but pointed out that the production of the Model Y was a priority for the company, so Cybertruck will only be able to start production after that.
