An “alliance” formed by some of the world’s biggest technology companies – the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism – has announced that it will begin fighting white supremacist groups and far-right militias, as Reuters says.

This ‘alliance’ includes companies such as Facebook, Microsoft , Twitter, and Google (YouTube) and was created in 2017 to combat terrorist groups such as the Islamic State, which used digital platforms for their propaganda and recruitment campaigns.

With this change, the technological giants will begin to include in their databases contents of terrorist organizations in order to be able to fight them more effectively.
