Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, speaks from Mexico: “Bitcoin is better than gold”
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak spoke at the Talent Land Jalisco 2021 innovation festival, from Guadalajara, Mexico, yesterday and showed his position in favor of Bitcoin, which he described as “the most surprising mathematical miracle” and the which he said is “better than gold”.
“Gold is limited and you have to look for it; Bitcoin is the most amazing mathematical miracle ”.
However, he clarified that he is not an investor:
“I don’t invest in Bitcoin, but I believe in it for the future.”

At the end of June 2021, the Bank of Mexico, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), in a joint statement, warned about the risks of using “virtual assets” such as cryptocurrencies and clarified that they are prohibited in the country.
This happened just after Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas said he wanted his bank – Banco Azteca – to be the first to accept BTC.
