Parler refused to ban Trump’s critics and was rejected by the former president
Parler is reported to have refused to ban Donald Trump’s critics from the platform, a decision that led the former US President’s representatives to opt not to have Trump as an active member of the social network.
The story is told in New York Magazine from a book by Michael Wolff that tells about the last days of Donald Trump’s presidency. According to Wolff, representatives of Parler and Donald Trump have met on the possibility of making the former president an active member after leaving the presidency. This hypothesis is said to have been ruled out when Parler refused to ban Trump’s critics.
Remember that Parler was banned from Google and Apple’s online stores as well as Amazon’s servers, after the platform was identified as a social network where members of the far right organized the invasion of the US Capitol on the day January 6th.
