These robots will deliver pizzas on certain days and periods to all customers who order from a specific store in the Woodland Heights neighborhood. As soon as the robot arrives at its destination, the Domino’s customer receives a PIN code through a message through which he can pick up his pizza.

“Nuro’s mission is to better everyday life through robotics,” Dave Ferguson, Nuro co-founder and president, said in a statement. “We’re excited to introduce our autonomous delivery bots to a select set of Domino’s customers in Houston. We can’t wait to see what they think.”

Since 2019, Domino’s and Nuro have been working on this partnership, which comes at a good time as the pandemic has accelerated the market for food deliveries and contactless payments.
