The writers of ‘The Simpsons’ included in the last episode of the cartoon, shown on Sunday (11), the information that the price of bitcoin has no limit.

In the attraction seen by Marge, a prison character, who appears just above the price of cryptocurrency, says the phrase (adapted):

“Buy, buy, buy. So, when you hear a rumor of a problem, sell before anyone else. I will be out of here in four months”.

In the GC, the GameStop (GME) share also appears with a positive value of $1 trillion followed by a negative $2 trillions.

The program also mentioned Tesla shares, followed by the phrase “if you ask, you can’t pay”. On Monday morning (12), exchange Binance launched a ‘backed’ token in the company founded by businessman Elon Musk.

It was not the first time that the “The Simpsons” cited bitcoin. In late 2013, the clown Krusty mentioned the cryptocurrency while talking to Lisa. This video on YouTube, published in 2014, shows the moment.

In a 2014 episode, a poster with the photo of the character Corky James Jones appeared with the phrase:

“Send me your lunch money online! – accepting bitcoin ”

In February 2020, an episode featured actor Jim Parsons, from the Big Bang Theory series, talking about cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

“People think I’m a nerd, but I’m actually really cool,” said Parsons. “That’s why I’m here to talk about the really cool issue of distributed consensus-based cryptocurrency,” he added.

On another occasion, a Reddit user brought an image with the symbols of three cryptocurrencies. The episode in question is called Frinkcoin, and tells the story of a professor who created a cryptocurrency.

In addition to the clear reference to Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin would be present on a billboard in the series. He makes reference to a formula that includes several programs used by Bitcoin.
