Biden administration impose new limits on Huawei suppliers
Since 2019, Huawei has been ‘attacked’ by U.S. exports sanctions and limitations, and apparently it’s not with the Biden administration’s entry on the scene that the situation will improve for the Chinese company.
Reuters says the Biden administration has further strengthened some of Huawei’s supplier limitations, which will make it more difficult for the Chinese company to obtain the necessary components for its equipment. Among the new measures is the impediment that Huawei is provided with equipment “from or for any 5G devices”.
Members of the U.S. Department of Commerce declined to elaborate on the new limitations, indicating that the information is subject to confidentiality.
