Youtube CEO : Trump returns to YouTube “when the risk of violence decreases”
Former U.S. President Donald Trump remains suspended from YouTube after the January 6 attack on the Capitol in Washington, a situation that, according to YouTube’s CEO, will not soon change.
“We will lift the suspension of Donald Trump’s channel when we determine that the risk of violence has decreased. I think it is quite clear that the level of violence remains high, ” said Susan Wojcicki according to an interview with the Atlantic Council.
The YouTube leader added that when the Trump channel becomes active again, it will be subject to the platform’s penalty system. In case he ends up violating YouTube’s usage policy, Trump will be entitled to two strikes before the channel is permanently banned.
